We are a premier 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides grants to underprivileged children, and those with learning difficulties and special needs, to help them enroll in wrestling programs and mixed martial arts classes in their areas. More specifically, we will work with the parents/families of these children and local training centers in their communities to match the child's unique needs with the discipline and organization best-fit to accommodate those needs. We help find and work directly with these training centers and provide the necessary financing for instruction, equipment, and uniforms needed.
The opportunity to participate consistently in wrestling and martial arts classes will give these children an incentive to strive and achieve their full potential, both on and off the mat. We strongly believe that these programs will instill honesty, discipline, and persistence to help them be more productive in life.
Thank you for considering a contribution to the Next Contender Foundation. We rely on the financial support of people in all our communities to provide programs and services to children across the United States. Through the generosity of people like you, we will continue to place more children in a better position to succeed in their lives.

Featured Next Contender: Jonathan Marmolejo
Next Contender Foundation is proud to announce its most recent grant recipient, Jonathan Marmolejo. Jonathan is a nationally ranked high school wrestler and is the oldest of four children in the Marmolejo family. He recently placed 5th in the IHSA State Wrestling Tournament held at the University of Illinois in Champaign.
Jonathan has overcome many challenges growing up, including his family’s financial hardship, to become a top student/athlete at Glenbard North. He will be using his Next Contender grant funding to participate in one of the top wrestling programs in the country, Izzy Style School of Wrestling.
“We are extremely excited about the opportunity to help Jonathan attain the level of professional instruction that he needs in order to reach his goals. We believe that by getting him into a program like Izzy Style, it will not only help with his development in the sport of wrestling, but it will allow him to realize his full potential in life,” stated Adam O’Sullivan, President and Co-Founder of Next Contender Foundation.
